Apparently, it is not common to fish for the Malaysian Hill Trout as it is quite an elusive species. For this trip, I had to travel to the North East of the Peninsula Malaysia.

Fly Fishing the Malaysian Hill Trout or Sikang
Its the beginning of the monsoon season, so the hope is not that high as rain only brings cloudy water and decrease the water temperature. But then, the hillside rainstorm does have a silver lining.
Normally the hillside rainstorm doesn't last that long and the fish is really biting after that.
